Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Duro mobile application ("the App") operated by EP Studios, based in Switzerland ("we", "us", "our"). By using Duro, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
Duro is a workout tracking app for iOS. It helps you log exercises, track training volume, monitor recovery, and view strength trends. Some features use AI-generated content to provide coaching insights.
2. Subscriptions and billing
Duro currently requires a paid subscription to access its premium app features. Duro Pro unlocks workout tracking, Growth Zones, recovery insights, strength tracking, workout builder, import/export, and coaching. We offer the following auto-renewable subscription plans through Apple In-App Purchase:
- Duro Pro Monthly: Billed monthly
- Duro Pro Annual: Billed once per year
Both plans may include a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Current pricing, currency, subscription duration, and trial details are displayed in the app before purchase and may vary by country or region. Taxes may apply.
Auto-renewal
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Free trial
If you start a free trial, you will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and your Apple ID account will be charged. Apple determines introductory offer eligibility.
Managing your subscription
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through Duro's Settings screen or through your Apple ID account settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refund requests are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not process payment card details and do not issue App Store refunds directly.
Price changes
We may change subscription prices. Apple will notify you in advance where required, and any price change will take effect according to Apple's App Store subscription rules.
Apple terms
Purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are managed by Apple and may also be subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and the applicable Apple standard end user license terms.
3. Not medical advice
Duro is a fitness tracking tool, not a medical device. Nothing in the app constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Training recommendations, recovery estimates, hypertrophy scores, and AI-generated coaching messages are informational only. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting or modifying any exercise program. Use the app at your own risk.
4. Your data
You retain ownership of all workout data you create in Duro. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process your workout data as described in our Privacy Policy, including transmitting summarized data to our servers and third-party AI providers to deliver app features.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Attempt to access our servers or APIs outside of normal app usage
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
6. AI-generated content
Duro uses AI models to generate coaching messages and training insights. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any AI output. You should not rely on AI-generated content as a substitute for professional advice.
7. Apple HealthKit
Duro integrates with Apple HealthKit to write completed workouts and effort scores. Duro may also read Duro-created workouts and effort samples from HealthKit so it can update or relate effort scores correctly. HealthKit access requires your explicit permission and can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings. We handle HealthKit data in accordance with Apple's guidelines and our Privacy Policy.
8. Availability
We aim to keep Duro available and functional but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. Server-dependent features (such as AI coaching) require an internet connection and may be unavailable during outages.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EP Studios is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. This includes but is not limited to data loss, injury during exercise, or reliance on AI-generated content. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
You may stop using Duro at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting the App. We may suspend or terminate access to server-dependent features if these terms are violated.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top will reflect the latest revision. For material changes, we will notify you through the app or website. Continued use of Duro after changes constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zurich, Switzerland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence.
